Qutb-e-Mauritius Muballigh-e-Islam Hazrat Allamah Muhammad Ibrahim Khushtar Siddiqui Qadri Razvi (Alaihir Rahmah) was a true ambassador of his Siddiqui lineage and a reflection of the legacy of Hazrat Sayyiduna Siddiq-e-Akbar (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh). He left a legacy of absolute submission to the Will of Allah Ta’ala, true love for Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), complete allegiance and devotion to Sayyidi A’la Hazrat (Alaihir Rahmah) and a legacy of knowledge.
His sacrifices will always be remembered, his passionate discourses will forever remain as a guiding light, and his selflessness, dedication and zeal to propagate Maslak-e-A’la Hazrat (Alaihir Rahmah) in many parts of the world will always serve as a shining beacon that inspires others to carry the flag of Razviyat forward.
He was a man of vision and action, not a mere talker. He once stated in an interview, “If I have an idea I put it into practice instead of talking.” He also used to say, “Words without action is the world’s biggest problem.”
And he was no doubt an epitome of action instead of words. He tirelessly travelled to over 20 countries spanning 6 continents and imprinted the stamp of Razviyat wherever he went, in an era where social media did not exist and gathering people together was much more difficult. But Allah Ta’ala imprinted in the hearts of the people, love and magnetism towards this great Wali of His, which drew people towards him in droves from far and wide, wherever he went.
Attesting to the significant propagatory work and unique religious achievements of Hazrat Allamah Ibrahim Khushtar (Alaihir Rahmah), Adeeb-e-Shaheer Hazrat Allamah Shams-ul-Hasan Shams Bareilwi (Alaihir Rahmah), who was a very close companion of Huzoor Hujjat-ul-Islam Hazrat Hamid Raza Khan (Alaihir Rahmah), mentioned the following words of appreciation:
“Mauritius, South Africa, Europe, all are now lit with the lamp of A’la Hazrat’s teachings due to the hard work in propagating his Razviyat and in perpetuating his memory, by His Eminence, Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim Khushtar Siddiqui Qadri Razvi. In Mauritius, the landmarks have been the foundation of:
- The Sunni Razvi Academy
- Khanqah Qadria Razvia
- The first Mauritius Sunni Razvi Eidgah
- The Qadri Razvi Markazi Mosque
In Durban, South Africa, the prestigious institutions comprise of:
- Darul Uloom Manzar-e-Islam
- Sunni Razvi Markaz
Moreover, Sunni Razvi Society International, implanted in so many countries and having brought forth so many institutions, is by itself a unique achievement which no one else, outside India and Pakistan, has been able to fulfill. Whatever the amount of praises they shower on him, followers of A’la Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan will not do justice to this true son of Islam, His Eminence Maulana Khushtar.”
From this accolade from such an esteemed personality, one can understand the immense work and great achievement accomplished by Hazrat and the extent of appreciation we owe him, not only as devotees, but also as anyone whose faith and life was uplifted through his propagation of knowledge.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masood Ahmad (Alaihir Rahmah), who wrote many books on Sayyidi A’la Hazrat (Alaihir Rahmah) and was a close associate and contemporary of Hazrat Allamah Ibrahim Khushtar (Alaihir Rahmah), mentioned the following words in appreciation of the work of Hazrat:
“Hazrat Allamah Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim Khushtar Siddiqui, a missionary of Islam, is a well-known personality of the Islamic world. He is spreading the message of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan in Europe and Africa. He has established missionary institutions in many places. He is a symbol of the Ahle Sunnah. He has a natural attachment with knowledge and literature. There is a sweetness in his language, a charm in his speech and a flow in his pen.”
The most significant part of this statement is the natural attachment of Hazrat with knowledge and literature. His entire life was spent firstly in seeking knowledge under distinguished scholars and the giants of their era, and then in propagating that knowledge not only through his eloquent discourses but also in the form of written publications. His life and teachings manifested the importance of knowledge and being in the company of righteous scholars. Therefore one cannot claim to love him but then distance one’s self from knowledge and the righteous scholars of Islam. Knowledge in every form is part of the legacy of Hazrat Allamah Ibrahim Khushtar (Alaihir Rahmah), which needs to be carried forward by those who are devoted to him and to the Maslak of A’la Hazrat (Alaihir Rahmah).
May Allah Ta’ala make us true and sincere devotees of Allamah Ibrahim Khushtar (Alaihir Rahmah) in action and in words, Allahumma Ameen.
